The first of a two-part series presenting the rich cultural heritage of Mexico before invasion and colonization by the Spanish.
Professor Leimer will present an illustrated lecture and leave some time for Q and A discussion.

The fusion of indigenous and European artistic and cultural traditions resulted in the complex, rich and colorful art,architecture, and other art forms we enjoy today. There is much to cover in two lectures. But Professor Leimer is an experienced teacher and an expert in this field.

Award winning Assemblage artist Richard Freund offers a workshop using shoes as the starting point for the creative invention of art objects. If you know Richard’s work you know how clever and expressive transformed objects can be. Dont’ come barefoot and don’t leave your sense of play at home.
