  1. Beginning Oils with Vici Haag      #4

Learn how to paint with oils and acrylics from the beginning.

  1. Open Studio Style Oil Painting with Natalie Richards    #4

Paint from your own references with instruction from Natalie

Sundays: July 1, 8, 15, 22          10:00 am – 1:00 pm

  1. Beginning Drawing with Marcia Taack #5

Learn to draw with time tested techniques and exercises. You will be challenged to create interesting drawings. Beginner’s class

Thursdays: July 5, 12, 19, 26        6:30 pm – 9:00 pm

    Pastels with Natalie Richards #4

Learn to paint and draw with pastels. The most forgiving, easy to learn way to paint. Natalie is immensely talented and will teach you all about different types of pastels and what they do.

  1. Focus Group – Color Theory #3        Martha Cowan

Intense, in-depth discussion & demonstration on one specific painting topic. Bring your own supplies and be ready to paint.

  1. Clay Odyssey w/ Nancy & Penny #3  6 week course!

Take your clay hand building skills to a whole new level. Incorporate different glazing techniques and continue to learn with new projects every week. No class on April 16th.  one time $25 supply fee due to instructor at start of class

  1. Watercolors with Holly Warner       #1

Learn new techniques and explore the wonderful medium of watercolor. No class on Aug 16th

  1. Advanced Oils with Martha Cowan #5

Continue your learning process for oil painting with in depth discussion and information along with demonstrations. 3.5 hours per day

  1. Smart Phone Photography Class with Bruce Herwig #3

Ready to take your cell photo images to another level? This class will be mix of instruction, photo walks, hands on editing and group critique. You will learn to incorporate the basics of composition, color, and style into your cell phone photo work.  Students bring your own cell phones (iPhones or Android) with the ability to download and pay for a variety of inexpensive apps.

                    SATURDAY/SUNDAY ONE-DAY WORKSHOPS

 

  1. Stained Glass Painting with Jeffery Hitch

Beginning Stained Glass Painting: Come join us for a unique stained glass painting workshop. You will learn the basic traditional technique developed ages ago and still used today. And at the end of the workshop, you will go home with your own painted samples.  $25 supply fee due to instructor

Saturday: June 23rd                 10:00 am – 5:00 pm (1/2hr lunch bring sack lunch)

  1. Paint it & Take it! #5 Martha Cowan

Use acrylic paints to complete a painting of the old masters or a Martha original in one class. All supplies provided. Learn from accomplished painter, Martha, who will lead you step by step. Everyone is welcome to bring nibbles.  

Saturday: July 14th           10:00am – 1:00pm                  $5 Supply fee due to instructor at class

  1. Dry Brush Watercolor Workshop with Tracy Graber

Dry Brush technique will be explained simply by Tracy during this 4.5 hour workshop. Bring your watercolors and brushes and be ready for some fun.

Saturday: Sept 15th                 10:00 am – 2:30 pm

  1. Portrait Drawing Workshop with Rusty Parenteau

Learn to portrait draw with experienced in depth instruction by Rusty. She uses her years of experience to guide you through the drawing of a live model. $10 model fee due at start of workshop

Saturday: Sept 22nd             11:00 am – 4:00pm    (Bring sack lunch)

  1. Mosaics with Ada Jarvis

Learn to mosaic or continue your journey, either way this workshop’s a lot of fun! Beginners bring a 12×12 stepping stone from Lowe’s, Home Depot or Wal-mart. Intermediates can work on a 3-D object of their choice but be sure to contact Ada at least 3 days prior to the workshop for vital instructions. $ 10 Supply fee due to instructor at start of class.

                                         9:00 am – 4:00 pm Intermediates               Fee: $110   RAA member fee $ 85

CLASS REGISTRATION – 72 hour notice to RAA is necessary to receive a refund or transfer to a different class. There will not be a registration confirmation. Students will be notified if the class is cancelled. Class fees will not be prorated/refunded for missed classes.
