Redlands Art Association hosts free PROGRAMS: guest artists to educate / entertain us on the 4th Tuesday night of each month, September through May.
Bruce Herwig will show us The Monsters on Tuesday, April 22, from 7–9pm.
Did you know that just 2 hours east of Redlands, in Borrego Springs, monsters are roaming the desert? Metal Monsters that is…sculptures by famed artist and welder Ricardo Breceda. There are super-sized dinosaurs, horses, sloths, tortoises, mammoths, saber-toothed cats, sea serpents and more just waiting to be found by curious photographers.
Local photographer Bruce Herwig will share the background, location, and history of some of his favorite sculptures. Borrego Springs is a dark sky community with some of the darkest skies in Southern California. Bruce will also share some of his favorite night sky images and how he chooses to display them on canvas, metal, or print.
Join us Tuesday, April 22nd from 7–9 pm. No charge; open to the public.
The program will be held at the downtown Redlands Art Association, 215 E. State St, Redlands.
