29 Mar Spring explodes at RAA Gallery Show
Oohh.. Aahh! Like fireworks, the beauty of the flower gets rave reviews from onlookers. Redlands Art Association’s Gallery and Art Center burst into Spring for the ART ALIVE in Redlands! exhibit during the month of April. Florists have been invited to choose a piece of art from the exhibit and create their own art to coordinate or contrast the piece for display at RAA’s Open House, April 20 & 21. “What’s more natural than flowers and art?”, asks Judith Sparhawk, a participating photographer. “Last year’s floral creations were beautiful, stunning, and whimsical. We expect some delightful arrangements again this year.” The Gallery will be open special hours the weekend of the 20th & 21st for viewing of the floral exhibits.
The public is welcome to enjoy the change of the season … browse through the Gallery at 215 E. State St, downtown, Redlands. Hours: Mon-Sat 10am – 5pm.
ART ALIVE in Redlands! is in conjunction with the Redlands Horticultural and Improvement Society’s Flower competition and Garden Tour that weekend. RAA gives the Petite Award for the adult miniature arrangement at the flower show at the ESRI Cafe. Garden Tour tickets and maps can be purchased at ESRI, 404 New York St, Redlands, April 20 & 21.
