Change is Hard! And I have noticed that the older I get, the longer it takes to adapt to new technologies or to changes in policy or procedure. So I especially appreciate all of those members who so graciously agreed to the changes in our new gallery agreement.

To summarize these changes:

  • The gallery attendant work shift hours have changed, adding 1/2 hour to each shift. The new hours are 9:45 AM to 1:45 PM for the morning shift and 1:15 PM to 5:15 PM for the afternoon shift. The reason for these changes is to provide coverage for the 10:00 AM opening time and to provide an overlap for the shift change because specific chores must be done by the morning worker before leaving. The gallery must remain open until 5:00 PM or until the end of children’s classes.
  • If you show your art in the gallery you are obligated to donate at least 8 hours of your time to help the gallery/RAA function in a business like manner. If you are unable to work as a gallery attendant (our biggest need) you are charged $30 per shift, $60 per show. You may apply to the Gallery Manager or to the Attendant Coordinator for other work assignments if available.
