12 Nov From the President’s Corner
November is here, with exciting happenings coming to the gallery. Our monthly program will be held one week early, the third Tuesday (rather than the fourth), November 17th, with Linda Gillman presenting an exciting program on making her beautiful fused glass jewelry.
Our last show of the year will be hung on November 21st, with our Artist’s Choice theme and the beginning of our Holiday Boutique. The gallery will be filled with wonderful gift items, including wall art, our usual table items, and plenty of extra “boutique” gift possibilities. Don’t forget to bring your handmade ornaments to hang for sale on our tree, making the gallery extra festive.
Our annual fall art show, Art on State Street, will be held on Sunday, November 22nd from 9am to 4 pm. Our block of State Street in front of the gallery will be closed to traffic, and artists’ booths will line the block, offering all sorts of wonderful art for sale. Come by and get a jump on your Holiday shopping.
On the same day, our annual Plein Aire Show will begin in the gallery as a show-in-show. The reception will be held on that day and awards will be presented. Come see the wonderful paintings of the Zanja, and experience this part of our Redlands heritage. The reception will be held on the 22nd from 2 to 4 pm.
Come and be a part of all these fun and festive events. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving Day, and remember all we have to be thankful for. Celebrate art!
