15 Jan Abstract Art with Leanna Griffin 1-28-25
Redlands Art Association hosts free PROGRAMS: guest artists to educate / entertain us on the 4th Tuesday night of each month, September through May.
Leanna Griffin will talk to us on Tuesday, January 28 on “How to Create Abstract Paintings By Rolling Marbles Dipped In Black Paint”
Inspired by the abstract paintings of Carmen Carpena, we will be using marbles to roll black paint onto paper. This creates a graceful collection of gentle arcs and lines that provide the structure of an abstract painting. Next add colorful paint to express what your mind sees in the tangle of marks.
Hands on for the first 14 guests. We will be using acrylic paint so wear clothes that can get paint on them. All supplies are provided. Rolling the marbles is a lot of fun!
