Before retiring in 1999, she was an Art teacher at Rialto High School for twenty years and currently teaches “part time” at Redlands Art Association and Lake Arrowhead Christian SchoolAs an artist, she is passionate about sharing the visual arts with children knowing this will equip them with lifelong skills and an appreciation for the artwork of others as well as helping them to develop and discover their own talents and creativity.  She also feels it is important to learn about art history and the art of many cultures for enrichment.  Art is a “visual language” that surpasses barriers of time, culture, genders and language. In addition, it is vital for students to learn the Elements of Art and Principles of Design and develop a foundation for a life-long love of the arts.
