“Mess into Masterpiece” Presenter: Elizabeth Carr
An accomplished watercolor artist, Carr enjoys working with many media; her specialty now being collage. Bright, joyous colors and whimsical shapes characterize her work. During the program, she will talk about and share examples of her work, as well as demonstrate the process she uses to develop her work. She believes all unsuccessful paintings can be made into masterpieces and will explain how that can happen.

“The Spirit of Art & Color” w/ Abby Cameron
Abby will share with us her love of creating art that is infused with rich, dynamic color, Her creative spirit has enticed her to successfully explore many media, (watercolor, oil, pastels, colored pencils, etc.). Most recently, she has discovered drawing with colored pencils on Colourfix Paper offers wonderful possibilities for gorgeous color in her art. She will discuss and demonstrate her methods of making drawings sing with amazing color, using colored pencils and other media.

“Encaustic Painting” w/ Charlie Ciali
Charlie Ciali, an internationally recognized artist, resides in Palm Springs, where he has a studio, and is active in the art community of that area. One of the mediums of his choice is encaustics, a very old and versatile art process, dating back to 800 B.C. Charlie will enlighten us with information on encaustics, as well as explain and demonstrate methods and techniques he uses to create his phenomenal encaustic paintings. He will also bring examples of his impressive artworks that, I know, will be a feast to our eyes.
